Make Your Own Real Food: My Healthy-Eating Journey

After our previous blog talking about real white meat food, for this week's blog i will share about my own experience eating red meat. My favorite red meat is beef meat, although its not really the right choice when you go diet or in a cut phase, but it is sure such a relieved to your mouth to taste the different taste and texture other than eating chicken meat all the time. I usually eat beef meat every one or two week just to give my body a variety of nutrients.
For beef meat itself, it is most suitable for when you go bulking or in other words increasing your weight. Because beef meat have a lot of fat content, but also high in protein. When i go through my bulk phase, my favorite place to go is all you can eat buffet.
Just like with chicken meat, a real beef meat food is much more healthier than processed beef meat, the content inside processed beef meat is high on salt, preservatives and other mysterious filler content. But if you get your own or make your own beef meat dishes the content inside the beef is all you want to make, making it more healthier because you can control what you want to add.
But that's enough introduction now let me share to you about my easiest and favorite beef meat dishes. For me, i like to buy ground beef meat with 70% lean beef and 30% fat content. Why i chose this instead of 80/20 or 90/10, the reason is because my surrounding market only provide 70/30 meat content. But if you can customize the meat content, i suggest you to get 80/20 or 90/10 if you on a diet. And if you want a more juicy meat you can get 70/30 meat content. I did not recommend you to get 60/40 because for me it does not feel good because the fat content is just to much for me.
Personally for me the best dish to make but also the easiest if you get ground beef is to make some beef patty. My way of making the best beef patty is to season it with salt, black and white pepper, some sour sauce, a lot of garlic, and some mushroom broth. The amount can depend on how much the ground beef content you want to season it, the bigger the amount the more you need to season it. And if you like the heavy spice seasoning taste, you can season it more.
After you done seasoning it, make a round shape and not to thin, and then store it in the freezer. The way i like to make it is by using butter, and when you cook it do take notice on the meat hardness, if you cook it for too long the meat will not be juicy and the meat will be dry and hard.
If you on a strict diet without the need to consume bread, you can eat it without the burger bun. I already try it and i kind of like it, it did not have to get messy in my hand and still gives the same taste as when i eat burger. Personally, when i have a burger bun, the taste of my own real food burger is so good, even better than the burger franchises.
The taste of the food is better if you make it yourself, if i want to eat a lot or in need of calories or protein, i get 2 or 3 beef patty. Although it sounds like it is a lot, truthfully for me its not that much but rather it is enough to make me full. But usually for breakfast i only take one beef patty and without the burger bun, because it will get me messy, and usually i also get some extra two eggs on the side.
Although i said that it is not suitable when you go on a diet or cut phase, you can still eat this dish if you count your daily calories. But if you still insist on having strict diet, you can make this dish into your cheat meal for your end of week.
And the best part of this dish is the greasy part of the meat when you eat it. It taste so good, the juicy the meat the better. If you still want to improve the taste, you can look around your surrounding market to get the ground beef content from the wagyu cow part. It will definitely improve the beef patty taste and offers more juicy taste.
For my own add on, for eating the beef patty i usually go for less calories add on, such as more spices like oregano, more pepper or garlic, and even if you have it you can give it some rosemary. But if you want to do a real cheat meal you can go for some sauces, like cheese, mustard, ketchup, and spice sauces.
And because the beef patty is securely placed on the freezer you can make it into prep meal if you want. Just cook the 2 or three beef patty and then prep the meal to store it in the refrigerator. If you want to make your meal just place it inside microwave and there you have it.
This is some tips if you still want to press the calories intake when having this dishes you can go for some keto bread. And if you want to have some cheese, go for part skim mozzarella. But in my opinion if make this dish into your cheat meal, make it into the most tastiest meal, and don't make it into some less calorie food.
